1. Who we are

ProofKit ("we", "us") provides a testimonial and social-proof management platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, profile fields, and company information you provide.
  • Your Content: testimonials, images, logos, captions, topics, packets, and other materials you upload or create.
  • Usage data: log data, device and browser metadata, and feature interactions used to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use it

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Service for you.
  • To generate captions, summaries, and tag suggestions you request.
  • To communicate about your account, security, and service updates.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use Your Content to train third-party general-purpose models.

4. AI processing

To produce captions, summaries, and tag suggestions, we may send relevant text to third-party AI providers through our infrastructure. These providers process the data on our behalf under their enterprise terms and do not retain it to train their models.

5. Sharing

  • Service providers (hosting, database, AI inference, email) acting on our behalf.
  • Legal: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice.

6. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active and Your Content until you delete it or your account. Backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at privacy@proofkit.app to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
